Leading Hand Trades (Mechanical) - Sunshine Sugar Harwood We currently have a vacancy for a Mechanical Trades Leading hand at Harwood Sugar Mill, on the Clarence River, 20 minutes to Yamba or 50km to Grafton. Whats involved? Supervising preventative and break in maintenance work completed by trades Providing basic engineering solutions to trades Communicating with production and engineering team members Carrying out on the tools work during crushing season Contributing to maintenance planning Management of trades team (Fitters and Boilermakers) We are looking for Relevant trade skills (Boilermaker/Fitter or similar) Experience in sugar mills or similar heavy industrial environment Strong focus on the preparation of formal risk assessments and improving safety awareness and culture Contribution to continuous improvement, SWMS, RAs, RCFAs and KPIs Demonstrated leadership experience or qualities Strong communication skills Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture Sound problem solving and trouble shooting skills Previous experience mentoring and training apprentices highly regarded How to apply To be considered, please upload a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role along with your resume.
