Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY PHE have an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team on a project in South Australia. In this role, you will be working on a 2 and 1 FIFO roster. Flights, accommodation and meal allowances will be provided. In this role, you will: Be the key technical resource for the project you are involved in, by being familiar with drawings, project specifications, standards another technical requirement Develop construction work packs, including the required creation, compilation and review of technical and quality documents. Actively participate in the development of detailed work method statements and identify and action key risks and opportunities. Develop and implement initiatives to improve costs on assigned work packages. Identify and procure any contractor supplied items associated with the work packs and coordinate between purchasing, workshops and site personnel. Provide technical planning input into the development of project schedules and ensure the respective milestones are met by engaging with all key stakeholders. Assist in estimating variation works and additional major scopes of work. Provide input into daily, weekly and monthly reporting as well as project claims. Identify and communicate changes during project phases to control the impact on safety and project objectives. Actively participate in risk assessments and manage risks in all aspects of execution to satisfy the project requirements. Red-line drawing management/updating, development and management of MDR documentation. Assist to configure, customize & manage Completion Management Software (PIMS). ABOUT YOU: The ideal candidate is a Qualified Electrical engineer and will possess: 3+ years post-graduate experience with a demonstrated ability in project delivery of major projects, greenfield, brownfield and shutdown works in the materials handling and minerals processing environments. Self-starter with the ability to manage your own time effectively and deal with conflicting priorities in a busy & fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to pro-actively problem-solve, analyse and implement solutions, you should be a doer, not a delegator. Resourceful with a positive can-do attitude and a strong work ethic. A strong understanding of engineering deliverables including P&IDs, electrical layout drawings, shop detail drawings, lists, etc. Ability to effectively navigate and interrogate 3D model deliverables including dwg. nwd and .ifc models. Experience in PIMS setup and management or other Completions Management System. The desire to be a team player, building relationships at all levels of the business. Effective communicator with an ability to build quality relationships with all project stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
