About the role Based in Nanango Permanent Full Time $104K$129K per annum + Allowances + Super Council is seeking an experienced engineer to provide a high level of technical supervision of civil works programmes for the construction and maintenance of transport assets/civil works programmes. The role will provide principal leadership, including technical advice and project direction in the development and implementation of works programmes. Daytoday duties will involve providing timely investigation and technical advice for customer requests, monitoring and management of the teams workload, minor works project management including supervision, financial management, identification and addressing the safety, quality and environmental aspects of assigned capital and operational works projects. The successful applicant will have substantial experience and knowledge in the management and delivery of civil works projects, well developed communication and interpersonal skills (including customer service and conflict resolution) and ability to supervise staff stimulating a high level of performance and successful teamwork. Additional Factors Participation in after hours and weekend work is a requirement of this position. Mandatory Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g., Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Project Management). Minimum requirement of a current C Class Drivers licence. General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Certification (White Card). RPEQ membership or eligibility to obtain would be highly regarded. Substantial experience in the management and delivery of civil works projects involving the construction and maintenance of public assets. Extensive knowledge and previous experience in the development of civil works programmes and project milestone development. Relevant experience in project management and contract administration relating to the maintenance of transport assets and DTMR associated works. Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills strongly focused on the provision of quality customer service, conflict resolution and crosscollaboration. Ability to supervise staff, stimulate a high level of performance and foster teamwork.
