Speech Pathologist and/or Student SLP assistant Paediatric Speech Pathologist! Casual (up to 18hrs+/week) $70-$100 p/h or permanent part time equivalent. Words and All Speech Pathology Northern Rivers NSW About the Role We are seeking a warm, reflective Speech Pathologist for up to 18 hours per week during NSW school terms. Optional work may be available during school holiday periods, though hours cannot be guaranteed. Potential to increase hours as service demand grows. This role is itinerant, supporting clients in: community settings Our caseload is predominantly paediatric, with possible occasional adult work available if aligned with your interests and confidence. There is potential for hours to increase over time, depending on mutual fit, clinical interest and service demand. About Us Words and All Speech Pathology is a small, locally owned practice based in Northern NSW. We provide therapy in clients homes, schools, preschools and community settings. Our approach is neuro-affirming and grounded in emotional safety, regulation, functional communication and wellbeing. We meet children and families where they are and adapt therapy to suit their current needs, capacity and support networks, working collaboratively with parents, carers and educational teams. We also offer neuro-affirming individual and group social programs that focus on increasing self-understanding, perspective-taking, problem solving, self-advocacy and authentic communication. We are evidence-based and committed to keeping our practice aligned with the best and most current evidence available. We draw on neurodevelopmental, relational and regulation-supportive approaches, including Polyvagal Theory, Self-Reg, the Neurosequential Model (NMT), Sensory Integration, DIR/Floortime, Monotropism, Double Empathy, IPNB, CPS and Self-Determination Theory. Familiarity is welcomed but not required learning is supported gently over time. Part-time equivalent option. Paid, flexible supervision (as often as needed or wanted) Flexible scheduling to support wellbeing, personal life and neurodivergent pacing, with gradual onboarding and caseloads built at a realistic pace. Pathway for Students There is also the possibility of a Speech Pathology student joining the team as a Therapy Assistant, with potential transition into a Speech Pathologist role upon graduation, if aligned with service needs and mutual fit.
