The Business Development Officer works in support of the Business Development Manager and Executive Management Team to help identify and secure new business opportunities, representing our brand to key stakeholders, establishing trusted business relationships, and supporting growth activities in line with Regional Housings Strategic Plan.The Business Development Officer shall be a key liaison with the media, community groups and key stakeholders, attending regular forums and facilitating presentations to support business growth and develop strong strategic relationships.SELECTION CRITERIAPrevious experience in business development activities or a desire to undertake relevant training to identifying business development opportunitiesDemonstrated success with research, preparation, submission and management of funding submissions, business cases and/or agreementsHigh level written and oral communication skills and the ability to negotiate and build relationships with a range of peopleProject management skills, particularly associated with research, documentation, and presentation of informationGood personal organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines, manage competing demands and demonstrate commitment to daily work outputsHigh level computing skills across the range of Microsoft products and the ability to quickly assimilate knowledge of new computing and other systemsPrevious experience within, or extensive knowledge of the social and affordable housing industry highly regardedESSENTIALSuccessful pass achieved on Queenslands Working with Children Check - Positive Notice Blue Card issued by Blue Card ServicesCurrent Queensland Drivers Licence (C Class)Clearance achieved on NDIS Worker Screening Check (or state equivalent)Successful pass achieved on Pre-Employment validation and assessment including but not limited to Police Check, employment history and background check, qualifications, and skills validation.HOW TO APPLYAll applications are held in the strictest confidence.
