The role involves supporting and offering technical advice to the team, ensuring the continual operation and effectiveness of all plant and equipment across the processing facility by managing both preventative maintenance and breakdown responses.Your role will include:Developing & implementing maintenance procedures, plans, checklists & processes.Working with Management & Production daily to understand key issues, priorities and actions to identify facility improvement opportunities.Managing the maintenance team to ensure appropriate coverage for production operations. Monitoring & assigning resources as required to complete tasks on the Plant and Maintenance Work-in-Progress lists.Budget management and coordinating & managing contractors & overseeing small site capital projects.Overseeing the management of the maintenance stores & stock holding, ensuring critical spares are identified and available (in stock or through PMA).Driving and contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance Mex systems and processes.Prioritising maintenance & activities so that high cost / high impact problems are addressed first & achieve cost effective maintenance outcomes.Managing and working with the maintenance teams to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are scheduled & completed against completed tasks.What are we looking for?Tertiary certification or Trade qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.Significant experience in a maintenance management role, within a large manufacturing environment, preferably gained in a meat or food environment.Practical understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps & electrical systems & refrigeration systems.Use & exposure with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Strong planning and problem solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving any issues.Exceptional influencing and communication skills.If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we would love for you to apply for the position.
