Asset Management Accountant or Financial Accountant South Burnett Regional Council is one of the largest employers within the region, with offices and depots located in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon, Proston and Blackbutt. About the role Based in Kingaroy Permanent Full Time $80K - $91K per annum + Allowances + Super (Financial Accountant)$88K to $101K per annum + Allowance + Super (Asset Management Accountant) Council is seeking an accountant to join the Finance and Sustainability branch with flexibility in appointment subject to the successful applicants demonstration of skills, qualification, experience and competence. Mandatory Qualifications Minimum requirement of a current C Class drivers licence. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. Accounting) at degree level or above, or near completion. Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and practices, with previous experience in local government highly regarded. Well-developed time management skills with the ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines. High level of keyboard and computer skills with experience using computerised accounting systems including a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel using formulated spread sheeting and other MS Office programs. Well-developed communication skills with the ability to produce accurate, useful data to a variety of stakeholders. Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
