Our range of supports and services are designed in collaboration with, and around the needs and hopes of, people in everyday community life.Role OverviewWorking in partnership with other Pastoral Practitioners, this role works to support Aged Care residents of Uniting Osborne in Nowra.As a Pastoral Practitioner your role will:Contribute towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the Pastoral care teamEngage in effective and nurturing relationship managementMaintain continual professional, personal and spiritual developmentMaintain effective and appropriate documentation and reporting.QualificationsOne or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent.Relevant pastoral or theological study.Your experience ticks the following boxesDemonstrated understanding of, and experience in, working with teams across a large, complex, church or non-for-profit organisationUnderstanding of pastoral and spiritual needs relating to those receiving services across UnitingDemonstrated empathy and affinity with vulnerable people (experience visiting with people living with Dementia is highly valued.)Demonstrated understanding of the distinctions between Religion and Spirituality.Basic understanding of different faiths, including Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, SikhismHighly effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including moderate computer skillsA demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for the most disadvantagedFor all recruitment enquiries please email Fabio Ioviero at********@uniting.orgFor all Chaplaincy enquiries please email Cal More at *****@uniting.orgUniting contributes to the work and mission of the Uniting Church in NSW and the ACT through social justice advocacy, community services and spiritual care.
