Girls Circle Program Assistant - after school Goonawarra Neighbourhood House Sunbury VIC The Girls Circle Program Assistant will assist the Program Facilitator to deliver the Girls Circle Program to young girls aged 9-12. The program runs Thursdays between 3:00-5:30pm during school terms. You will help the facilitator increase social connections between the girls and run activities related to social and emotional development, self-image, self-expression, resilience, confidence, authentic relationships, enhanced judgment and social action. You will be required to have some experience working with young people, or be studying in this field. You will also be required to have a Working With Children Check and a Police Check (we will reimburse any costs). Key tasks include: Assist with set-up and pack-up of the room. Assist the Youth Worker to deliver session content. Prepare snacks. Be familiar with and comply with the Houses Child Protection & Safety Policy, and any other policy or procedure relating to child safety. Category: Young People Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support Disability Support Time Required: Volunteer will be required for 2.5 hours from 3:00-5:30pm, each Thursday during school terms.
