As a key member of the senior leadership team, the role actively contributes to strategic planning, drives operational excellence, and embeds a robust risk management culture. This includes fostering workforce capability, supporting evidence-based practice, championing innovation, and identifying opportunities for growth and service improvement. Through strong leadership, collaboration, and responsive decision-making, the role ensures the Service remains contemporary, safe, effective, and aligned with the long-term vision of the organisation and the Anglican Diocese. This is a Full-Time position covering Gympie and Fraser coast region. Responsibilities: Ensure ethical and consistent operation aligned with Anglicare''s mission and values Model effective leadership to empower staff and foster a cohesive team environment. Develop and retain high-performance team members, emphasizing a client-focused culture. Actively contribute to strategic planning, bringing forward innovative ideas and challenging existing practices. Report on performance against the strategic plan and adjust strategies as needed in collaboration with the Group Manager. Communicate organizational direction and ensure staff alignment with strategic intents. Develop, implement, and review the operational plan to achieve strategic objectives. Collaborate on the development and monitoring of the annual operating budget. Lead the implementation of innovative and cost-effective service delivery models while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements. Implement the risk management framework in collaboration with the Governance, Risk & Quality team. Monitor and inform the risk management framework based on Service-specific knowledge. Ensure compliance with funding, legislative, and organizational requirements, and mitigate identified risks effectively. Qualifications, Credentials and Other Requirements Degree in Health, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Social Work, Psychology or similar (this is an essential requirement of the role) Current Blue Card Current Licenced Care Service (LCS) Current Queensland Driver Licence Post-graduate qualification in Health, Human Services or similar (desired) Qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Business Management (desired) Ability and willingness to travel within the service region Ability and willingness to work outside of standard business hours and provide on-call support as required. About You: Ability to lead and develop a client-centered service ensuring exceptional quality outcomes for clients, families, and significant others. Capacity to implement effective management tools to support service delivery and improvements (e.g., budgeting, controls, processes, policies, and systems). Experience in managing financial performance and ensure sustainability of community, human services, or healthcare service. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skilful in building effective and collaborative relationships with community partners and stakeholders. Adept at managing and mitigate risks effectively within the service environment. Demonstrate leadership capabilities and influence positive change management. Demonstrated expertise in business development skills to grow the service in alignment with organizational strategic plans.
