Job Summary Position Title: Team Lead Patient Support & Logistics Classification: Support Services / Healthcare Operations Salary: Competitive Salary Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Mildura, VIC About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead to oversee the daily operations of Patient Support and Logistics services within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and performance of staff delivering essential services including patient transport, equipment movement, linen services, waste management, and logistical support. You will play a key role in promoting operational excellence, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards, and fostering a positive, accountable workplace culture focused on continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Leadership & People Management Supervise, mentor, and support Patient Support & Logistics staff Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism Set performance expectations, monitor outcomes, and manage performance concerns Allocate tasks fairly while supporting staff wellbeing and engagement Recognise achievements and support workforce development Operational Management Coordinate and oversee internal patient transport activities Ensure patient transfers are completed safely, efficiently, and with dignity Manage logistics including equipment movement, linen handling, and waste services Allocate staff and resources according to service demand and hospital needs Collaborate closely with nursing, clinical, and support teams Compliance, Auditing & Risk Management Conduct audits related to patient transport, logistics, and waste management Ensure compliance with infection control, WHS, and organisational policies Identify service risks or incidents and respond promptly Implement corrective actions and document improvement strategies Continuous Improvement & Reporting Analyse data and feedback to improve service quality and efficiency Support staff training and capability development Contribute to process reviews and service innovation initiatives Prepare accurate reports on performance, audits, risks, and staffing matters About You Proven experience leading or supervising staff within healthcare, logistics, or support services Strong ability to coordinate daily operations in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of safe patient handling and internal transport procedures Experience with logistics functions including equipment, linen, and waste management Solid understanding of infection control, WHS, and policy compliance Experience conducting audits, managing incidents, and completing reports Excellent communication, leadership, and problemsolving skills Strong commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and service improvement Desirable Relevant qualification in health services, leadership, or business Experience in a public hospital or large healthcare setting Exposure to accreditation and quality systems (e.g. NSQHS) Mandatory Requirements National Police Record Check Current Working with Children Check Compliance with immunisation requirements for healthcare workers Valid Victorian Driver''s Licence Ability to meet relevant professional registration requirements (where applicable) Whats in It for You Secure fulltime leadership role in a healthcare environment Opportunity to lead essential frontline support services Collaborative, valuesdriven workplace Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities How to Apply Click the APPLY NOW button and submit your updated resume (Word document preferred).
