About the Role We''re looking for an Apprentice in Parks and Gardens (junior or mature age) to join our team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to gain handson experience while completing your formal horticulture qualification. You''ll be working alongside experienced gardeners who''ll teach you the skills needed to succeed in the industry. Applicants must be 16+ years of age to be eligible for this apprentice position. Our base is in the Hawkesbury, and we''re ideally looking for someone local who can be picked up and carpool between Windsor and Rouse Hill for travel to Sydney and surrounding sites. Your Day Will Include General cleaning and sanitising of common property areas (stairwells, paths, glass, and outdoor surfaces) Lawn and garden maintenance: mowing, edging, blowing, pruning, hedging, planting, mulching, and weeding Assisting with softscaping projects and small garden makeovers Operating and maintaining equipment safely (mowers, trimmers, blowers, vacuums) Supporting the team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard What You''ll Need Willingness to learn and work as part of a small team Good communication skills and fluent English Presentable appearance and professional attitude Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy Physically fit (comfortable using backpack vacuums and pushing mowers up and down stairs) Australian citizenship or permanent residency Manual driver''s licence (preferred but not essential willingness to obtain is ideal) What We Offer Above award rate for the right applicant All tools, equipment, and transport provided Support to complete your apprenticeship and gain nationally recognised qualifications On-the-job training in gardening, cleaning, and property maintenance Full-time hours with consistent weekday work (Monday to Friday, 7 am 3 pm) Casual positions also available enquire within Why Join SLAM Garden & Property Maintenance?
