Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) is the controlling body for greyhound racing in South Australia, responsible for ensuring bestpractice welfare, integrity and regulatory standards across approximately 700 licensed participants and five racetracks statewide. We are seeking a highly skilled Investigative Steward to join our Integrity and Welfare team someone with a strong background in law enforcement, ideally from policing, regulatory investigations, or animalwelfare law enforcement. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager Integrity & Welfare, the Investigative Steward plays a pivotal role in maintaining confidence in South Australias greyhound racing industry. You will lead and manage investigations into alleged misconduct, animalwelfare concerns, and potential breaches of the Rules of Racing and GRSA policies. Working collaboratively with Stewards, Welfare Compliance Officers, the Intelligence Analyst and external agencies such as SAPOL, RSPCA and local councils, you will: Conduct intelligenceled investigations, inspections and surveillance activities Attend participant properties, gather evidence and prepare briefs Interview participants and witnesses and present evidence at formal inquiries Participate in (and occasionally chair) Steward Inquiries and Integrity Hearings Support proactive compliance and welfare initiatives across the state This role may include occasional evening/weekend work and scheduled and unscheduled intrastate travel. About You You bring strong investigative capability, sound judgement and a deep appreciation for integrity and regulatory compliance. You are confident making evidencebased decisions even under pressure and your communication style allows you to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in: Policing or law enforcement investigations Animal welfare inspectorate roles Regulatory/compliance agencies Evidence collection and brief preparation Presenting evidence in inquiry or tribunal settings You will also have: Certificate IV in Government Investigations, Diploma/Advanced Diploma of Policing, or comparable investigative experience. Strong analytical, problemsolving and stakeholdermanagement skills. High integrity, independence and a commitment to fair and consistent decisionmaking. A current or recent National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of greyhound racing is desirable but not essential. Why Join GRSA?
