About the role As a Support Worker Catering you will make a difference each day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/Chef Manager and your team to deliver a highquality catering service to our residents. Your main duties include: Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific items as instructed by the Chef or Cook Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness Work in accordance with the National Food Safety Program, including completing food safety records and prevention of cross contamination Serve nutritious meals in a wellpresented manner and at the appropriate temperature Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal service as per the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide What you bring Current Food Handlers Certificate Strong interpersonal and communication skills High standards in food preparation Knowledge of food safety regulations Current Covid19 vaccinations including booster are mandatory unless assessed exempt A desire to join a team committed to the care of others Why work for Calvary?
