This is a leading, iconic Australian hospitality business that is going from strength to strength with huge growth and thats not tapering off anytime soon. We are looking for a Group CTO to sit on the executive team and not only lead the technology department but to play a very large role in the company growth and development. The role: Define and execute the technology strategy across retail and hospitality operations, aligning with business goals. Lead the design and implementation of large scale data platforms (data warehouse, data lakes, real-time streaming). Drive systems integration across POS, CRM, ERP, booking/reservation, and customer loyalty platforms. Champion DevOps practices, cloud adoption, and modern engineering methodologies. Ensure robust data governance, compliance (GDPR), and high data quality. Partner with commercial, marketing, and operational leaders to unlock customer insights and operational efficiencies. Build, lead, and mentor high-performing technology and data teams across regions. Experience: Proven track record in technology leadership (CTO, Technology Director, Head of Data/Engineering) in retail or hospitality. Familiarity with AWS CDK, LocalStack, GitHub Actions, MySql, or design patterns Knowledge of cloud platforms Experience in high-transaction, customer-centric environments: POS systems, PMS, inventory, booking, and loyalty platforms. Strong understanding of omnichannel strategies across retail and hospitality. Leadership skills with a balance of strategic vision and technical credibility. My client is looking to move quickly!
