Chief Information Officer (CIO) This is a rare opportunity for an experienced healthcare CIO to shape the technology direction of a medium-sized, not-for-profit healthcare organisation at a meaningful stage of its evolution. The organisation has a solid clinical and operational foundation and is now looking for a CIO who can modernise systems, strengthen governance and cyber resilience, and lift digital capability without losing sight of purpose, patients and people. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Executive Team and Board, you will have genuine influence over strategy and investment decisions, and the autonomy to drive change. Base pay range A$230,000.00/yr - A$280,000.00/yr What Youll Be Responsible For Setting Direction (and Making It Happen) Define a clear, practical technology and digital roadmap that supports clinical care and organisational priorities. Translate strategy into delivery and this role suits a CIO who is comfortable being handson when needed. Lead the evolution of clinical and corporate systems, including EHR/EMR platforms. Improve system integration, data quality and reporting to support better decisionmaking. Ensure technology genuinely works for clinicians and frontline teams. Strengthen cyber security, privacy and information governance in a healthcare context. Provide clear, confident advice to the CEO and Board on risk, compliance and investment tradeoffs. Own business continuity and disaster recovery readiness. People, Partners & Culture Lead a capable internal IT team and create a culture of trust, service and accountability. Manage technology partners and vendors to ensure value, reliability and fit for purpose solutions. Build strong relationships across clinical, operational and corporate teams. Manage the IT budget responsibly in a not-for-profit environment. Prioritise investments that deliver the greatest impact for patients and the organisation. About You Youre a seasoned technology leader who understands the realities of healthcare and the not-for-profit sector. You know how to work within constraints, influence diverse stakeholders, and deliver progress without unnecessary complexity. Youll Bring Senior IT leadership experience (CIO, Head of IT, Director of Technology or similar). Strong healthcare experience around hospitals, health services, aged care or community health. A track record of leading digital change in medium-sized organisations. Confidence engaging with Boards and executive leaders. A pragmatic, valuesled leadership style. Formal qualifications in IT, health informatics, or business are welcomed but not essential if you bring the right experience.
