Work for this Retail household name driving efficiencies and improvements across a broad DC footprint. Reporting to the General Manager of Supply Chain, this newly created role will operate as the 2IC. The individual will oversee operations across seven distribution centres and must understand the complexities of delivering bulk goods across a wide geographical footprint. They will bring strong knowledge of vertically integrated supply chain environments, with experience spanning offshore factory operations through to customer delivery and installation. Exposure to an operating model where warranty support is delivered through each warehouse will be highly regarded. They will drive efficiencies and improvements across the workforce and SOPs, ensuring that each change contributes to stronger operational performance. The successful candidate will know how to implement change in a way that secures buy in at all levels. They will be highly customer centric in their decision making, ensuring that every operational improvement positively influences the end to end customer experience. This person will also be commercially astute, confident in building budgets, analysing operational performance and making decisions that support sustainable business outcomes. The preferred background is broad multisite leadership across several DCs, most likely gained within a large retail environment delivering bulk goods. This could include furniture, consumer products, white goods, big box hardware or even automotive parts distribution.
