Social Worker - Senior, Chief Operating Officer Services, Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, Queensland Health An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Social Work Department/Chief Operating Officer Services as a Senior Social Worker. You will use high-level knowledge, skills and expertise relevant to the allocated clinical speciality to deliver social work clinical services to patients/carers and families, with a focus on managing complexity. About your opportunity: Work autonomously and independently. Apply professional judgement and decision making to manage a complex and varied caseload, adapting routine and nonroutine clinical practice based on valid and reliable clinical evidence. Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, develop appropriate intervention plans, and achieve outcomes, informed by high-level social work theory and contemporary knowledge of social determinants of health; medical terminology; legislation; resources; services and policy requirements. Provide clinical support and education to staff, students and multidisciplinary team members.
