With a growing pipeline of commercial projects, were looking for a capable and driven senior estimator to join our team. WE ARE HIRING! THE OPPORTUNITY Join our highperforming estimating team and play a key role in preparing competitive and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role supports our Lead Estimator across all stages of the preconstruction process, from tendering through to project handover. Youll liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure our bids are accurate, timely, and commercially sound. ABOUT THE ROLE Review and evaluate project plans and tender documentation Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates Issue tender quote requests and manage pricing from vendors and subcontractors Communicate with trade partners, suppliers and internal teams to clarify scope and pricing Prepare procurement registers and assist with early procurement planning Contribute to project handover documentation and kickoff meetings Ensure estimates are completed within tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy Adhere to company policies, systems and procedures at all times ABOUT YOU 5+ years experience in commercial construction estimating Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and scope documentation Working knowledge of construction methodology, trades and material pricing High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking and problemsolving skills Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines Excellent communication and negotiation skills Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Relevant tertiary qualifications or trade background (advantageous) WHY JOIN FERGUS BUILDERS?
