As a Senior Engineer, you will shape and strengthen Orros security posture across Microsoft and cloud platforms, designing, implementing and optimizing modern security solutions. About the Team Join Orros Cyber Security & Risk team the group responsible for securing our enterprise platforms, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards, and enabling secure digital innovation across the organisation. We work closely with IT, Cloud Engineering, Operational teams and Executive Leadership to embed security into everything we do. What Youll Be Doing Lead the design and uplift of Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Sentinel, Entra/Identity, Intune and Purview), driving continuous improvement and best-practice adoption. Shape cloud security by enhancing AWS controls, monitoring and compliance frameworks. Deliver handson security projects from risk assessments and architecture reviews to control uplift and automation. Stay ahead of threats through proactive vulnerability management, detection and incident response. Streamline security operations with playbooks, baselines and dashboards that track control effectiveness in real time. Collaborate across Orro, working with IT, Cloud, SOC and Risk teams to embed securebydefault practices. What Youll Bring Youre a handson M365 and Azure Security Senior Engineer who loves solving complex problems and making things stronger, smarter and safer every day. You bring sharp instincts for risk, architecture and modern security controls, with strong communication skills that turn deep technical detail into clear, meaningful insight. 5+ years experience in security engineering across enterprise or MSP environments Deep practical experience across Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Intune, Purview) Working knowledge of AWS security services Familiarity with ISO27001, Essential8, PCIDSS and related compliance programs Experience conducting technical risk assessments and developing remediation plans Strong communication and stakeholdermanagement skills from engineers to executives Bonus Points Experience in hybrid cloud/onprem environments Handson scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python) Understanding of network and firewall security design Exposure to privacy, data protection and SOC operations Certifications That Will Set You Apart Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst / Identity & Access / Endpoint CISSP, CISM, CCSP (advantage) AWS Security Specialty (advantage) *Note: The role is subject to state and federal police background checks.
