About the Role Were searching for a compassionate and proactive casual Wildlife and Rescue Receptionist to manage our Wildlife Reception, run our Vet Pick up service and help deliver exceptional experiences across our busy Wildlife Hospital. In this frontline role, youll be the calm, knowledgeable and supportive presence for members of the public, wildlife carers, vet clinics, volunteers and internal teams. Youll provide information, coordinate patient movement, and ensure every interaction reflects our mission, vision and values. Working closely with the Wildlife Hospital Coordinator and supported by our dedicated volunteer team, youll play a key part in keeping our hospital running smoothly - combining customer service, admin, problem solving and stakeholder communication in a fastpaced, meaningful environment. What Youll Do In this role, you will: - Deliver exceptional customer service by managing complex enquiries from the public, carers and wildlife stakeholders via phone or in person (including updates, triage information and treatment discussions under clinical guidance). - Provide highquality administrative support and maintain accurate patient files and wildlife carer database records. - Guide, support and train our Wildlife Reception & Admin volunteers. - Coordinate patient transport by dispatching wildlife vet clinic requests to transport volunteers and ensuring timely movement of patients. - Support the broader Wildlife Hospital Team during peak periods and contribute to ongoing process improvements. - Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures. No two days are the same at the Wildlife Hospital - youll work handson with an incredible variety of species while learning from a passionate, supportive team. What Youll Bring to the Role - Experience delivering highquality customer service in a busy, clientfacing environment. - Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and manage competing demands. - Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and over the phone) with strong attention to detail. - Confidence working with a diverse range of people and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. - Intermediate skills in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email systems, databases, etc). - Ability to build strong working relationships and engage positively with volunteers and colleagues. - Initiative to manage your workflow independently. - Experience in a veterinary clinic or similar environment (highly regarded). - Ability to train others in administrative tasks. - Genuine interest in animal welfare and alignment with RSPCA Qlds mission, vision and people principles. - Ability to undertake physical duties including manual handling (up to 10kg)s.
