The Teacher Librarian is responsible for managing and maintaining a vibrant, inclusive, and wellresourced library that functions as a flexible, technologyrich learning environment. The role involves collaborating with classroom teachers to develop and deliver curriculumaligned programs that enhance literacy, numeracy, and research skills. The teacher promotes student engagement and wellbeing through inclusive practices and proactive behaviour management, supports diverse learning needs, and delivers explicit instruction in information literacy, digital citizenship and critical thinking. The position also leads initiatives that elevate the librarys role as a central learning hub, incorporating emerging technologies and supporting inquirybased, studentdriven learning. Selection Criteria - Approval to teach Library. - Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a primary school library using the Oliver Library Management system, including budget, technology and resource management. - Ability to creatively manage a K6 library as a flexible learning hub that supports wholeschool programs, while providing rich literary experiences and teaching students how to access and use information across physical and digital platforms. - Demonstrated organisation, resourcefulness and capacity to maintain an engaging library environment and its resources, while staying current with contemporary library practice. Conditions An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
