Job Description

Gidarjil Development Corporation Limited has operated since 2000 and is one of the largest Aboriginal controlled organisations in the Wide Bay/Burnett region. Their activities have helped protect and preserve the values, traditions, lores, languages, culture, customs, cultural heritage and traditional lands of Indigenous People by recording and monitoring each of the above, working closely with environmental groups and promoting cultural immersion and other programs including language and art workshops, cultural heritage monitoring and land and sea ranger activities. Gidarjil has also run programs which have trained and assisted Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people towards meaningful employment. About the Opportunity Working from our Head Office which is only 5 minutes from Bundaberg CBD, reporting to the head of Department, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Accounts officer Providing accounts payable and receivable support A solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable principles is required Monitoring overdue invoices, chasing them up and escalating late payments if necessary Bank and month end reconciliations, management of purchase orders, credit cards, fuel cards Payroll Officer Process payroll Willingness to undertake training as necessary Ad hoc administrative duties for the wider team.
