About The Facility Our major sites include University Hospital Geelong in Geelongs CBD, the McKellar Centre precinct in North Geelong, Barwon Health North in Norlane, and residential aged care facilities spanning the region. Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programmes across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. Barwon Health is partnering with the Department of Justice and Community Safety to provide the health care service at the new Cherry Creek Youth Justice Centre. Cherry Creek is a 140bed Youth Justice Facility to the west of Werribee, accommodating males between 1517 years of age, both sentenced and on remand. Services delivered will include emergency response (with support from the Barwon Health Virtual ED), primary care beds, integrated mental health, drug and alcohol services, allied health, general practice and specialist medical care as required. There will be 24/7 nursing coverage onsite as well as a 7days a week primary care clinic. Diagnostic and pharmacy will also be available on site. The health care will be integrated in the operations of the Centre and will operate from a stateoftheart purposebuilt health facility. The team will deliver bestpractice culture, processes and operations to enhance the outcomes for young people in our care and the community. About The Role As the Clinical Nurse Educator at Cherry Creek, you will play a key role in fostering a strong learning culture and supporting clinical excellence. Youll lead the development and delivery of education programmes, create highquality training resources, and provide learning opportunities for clinicians across the service. You will facilitate onboarding and training for new staff and work closely with the Clinical Education & Training team and the Health Service Manager to maintain high standards of nursing and clinical care aligned with current evidencebased practice. With a collaborative, teamfocused approach, you will help design, facilitate and evaluate education programmes using a consistent, standardised education model.
