About the role This role oversees road maintenance and civil construction projects across the Shires Eastern region, ensuring efficient and safe use of staff, plant, contractors, and resources. It also coordinates with internal teams, manages compliance and budgets, and responds to community and emergency needs. Key points: Permanent Fulltime position based at our Yackandandah DepotAnnual Salary $87,358 $95,412 ($44.20 $48.28 per hour) Key responsibilities Develop & lead a highperforming team by fostering a positive, supportive culture where people feel motivated, valued, and proud to deliver for the community. Manage daily road works, civil construction tasks, and project budgets. Coordinate closely with other supervisors to optimise resources and communication. Ensure compliance with environmental, vegetation, spraying, and safety regulations. Inspect infrastructure, supervise plant/equipment, and support customer requests and emergency response. About you Were seeking a skilled, safetyfocused manager with strong communication abilities, technical competence, and the practical experience needed to manage works effectively. The ideal candidate is a teamoriented operator who can read plans, use modern technology, liaise confidently with stakeholders, and uphold high standards across all tasks. You will: Communicate professionally, work collaboratively, and use tact and diplomacy with all stakeholders. Hold relevant trade qualifications, plant operation experience, and required tickets/certificates (traffic control, OHS induction, first aid). Be confident in reading plans, setting out works, operating heavy plant, and applying traffic signage codes. Be proficient with Microsoft Office and fieldbased technology, with a valid Victorian drivers licence (preferably HR/MR).
