Job Type: Contract position | Casual position Job Description Our client is an industry leading agribusiness with sophisticated orchard operations located in Dimbulah and surrounds. They are currently looking to fill 300 Citrus Orchard Hand positions across their farming sites, with work commencing from January 2026 onwards. You are required to work in a farming environment where you will be primarily working outdoors. You will be exposed to different kinds of weather from sun, rain, winds, heat etc. therefore you are required to be fit and strong enough to withstand these conditions. You will be paid under Agri Labour Australia Horticulture Agreement 2016 Level 2, with the majority of work being on a piece rate basis (however you will receive a minimum hourly rate of $31.19 per hour), with at least 120 hours of work, every 4 weeks of your placement. This will be aligned with the Fair Work Commission''s annual reviews, including any increases to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award rates of pay. You will be offered up to 9 months of work and potential to upskill into leadership roles. Key Duties Safe and efficient picking of citrus, meeting productivity and quality requirements of the host. There may be other general horticulture farmhand duties from time to time. Thinning citrus fruit from large citrus trees. This is done on a platform attached to a tractor that pulls the platform through the orchard and the worker stands on the platform. Ground thinning is also required where you will be walking along the rows thinning the trees. Remove old fruit from the previous season that remains on trees. Selectively thin new fruit to reduce crop load while leaving the majority of fruit intact.
