About the Office The Information Technology Office is at the forefront of the Universitys success, driving cuttingedge technology solutions that empower Learning & Teaching, Research, and Administration across the institution. About the Role This role oversees the endtoend management of campus technology operations and projects across areas such as Learning & Teaching Technology, AV, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, EUC, Data Centre, and Networking, ensuring effective prioritisation and resource utilisation. It also applies recognised project management frameworks to drive governance maturity and collaborates with stakeholders and IT teams to deliver businessled improvement roadmaps. Key Responsibilities Engage and influence stakeholders, including Csuite executives, to align network, AV, and campus technology projects with the Universitys strategic and digital transformation goals. Collaborate with IT, Facilities, Learning Spaces, and academic teams to prioritise and deliver initiatives that enhance digital infrastructure and learning environments. Oversee a portfolio of technology programmes and projects, including network upgrades, AV rollouts, unified communications, and hybrid learning environments. Lead endtoend delivery of enterprisescale projects using recognised methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK), ensuring integration with existing infrastructure and services. Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and vendor relationships, providing strategic reporting to governance forums and executive stakeholders. Provide daytoday support and guidance to the Network and AV technicians in managing daytoday issues and jointly developing continuous improvement and technology refresh plans and projects. Ensure compliance with technical standards for network architecture and AV systems while championing continuous improvement in governance and delivery practices. Qualifications, Skills & Experience Relevant postgraduate qualification with extensive experience, or equivalent combination of education and proven management expertise in largescale IT projects. Demonstrated experience in endtoend project delivery using methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or PMBOK, and strong understanding of enterprise network architecture (LAN/WAN, SDWAN, MPLS) and AV systems. Expertise in network technologies (WiFi 6/6E, segmentation, QoS), network security (firewalls, NAC, VPNs, IDS/IPS), cloud networking (AWS), and AV integration (video conferencing, AVoverIP, lecture capture). Strong skills in risk and issue management, vendor and contract management, governance reporting, and stakeholder engagement at executive and Csuite levels. Proven ability to solve complex project and operational issues, manage budgets, and deliver largescale programmes within medium to large organisations. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationshipbuilding skills, with adaptability to work across varied domains and drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
