OverviewAt Nash Plant Hire we are looking for a qualified Diesel or Plant Mechanic to join our Sydney-based service department. The role involves performing regular inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to a wide range of plant equipment and trucks both in our workshop and onsite. Machines include telehandlers, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and more.ResponsibilitiesPerform regular inspections and maintenance on plant equipment and trucks in workshop and on-site.Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and trucks, including EWPs and related machinery.Carry out welding and related tasks where required.QualificationsPrior experience in service, breakdown/diagnostics and repair of various plant, EWPs, equipment and trucks.Welding skills are beneficial.Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar Trade Certificate.Self-motivated with excellent work ethic; able to work autonomously.Strong focus on Safety, Quality and Customer Service.Sound troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.Good time management and job recording skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to meet deadlines.Auto Electrical knowledge is an advantage.BenefitsCompany vehicle with fuel cardMobile phoneGreat opportunities and room for growthSalary/wages open to discussionExcellent working conditions and new workshop facilitiesOngoing training opportunitiesSupportive team environment; mentoring opportunitiesWe pride ourselves on finding the right people for the roles and providing a safe and harmonious environment for our team.
