OverviewJoin to apply for the Childcare Cook role at Uniting. This is a permanent part-time role combining cooking with time in the classroom. Location: Leichhardt, NSW, Australia (and related listings on the role page).Salary: $29.55 - $32.81/hr + Super + Salary Packaging benefits. Working hours: 5 days per week from 9am 1pm. There is potential to take on extra hours/shifts to support the team as an educator.What Youll Be DoingPlan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 05Cater to allergies and dietary needs while following food safety and hygiene guidelinesManage kitchen stock, ordering, and food preparation schedulesAs An Educator (when Required)Step in to support the team during peak times, leave coverage, or special activitiesBuild positive relationships with children and familiesContribute to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environmentWho Were Looking ForFood Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or Cooking Qualification (Essential)Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (Desirable)Experience in preparing meals in an early learning or similar settingA flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to support across rolesA team player who lives our Uniting values: compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and boldAbout UnitingUniting NSW.ACT contributes to the work and mission of the Uniting Church in NSW and the ACT through social justice advocacy, community services and spiritual care.
