Trade Assistant with HR and Forklift Licences Aboriginal Enterprises Australia Group Darwin NT Aboriginal Enterprises Australia (AEA) specialise in providing construction and maintenance services to the commercial and residential market in remote areas of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. We are looking for a Skilled Trade Assistant, with an open HR licence and Forklift licence to join our NT Projects team, based out of Alice Springs on a 3:1 FIFO / DIDO roster. About the Role This role is crucial to the execution and delivery of high-quality results for new builds and refurbishments, and is ideal for someone with strong practical skills, a solid safety focus, and the ability to work both independently and within a small, high-performing crew. Extensive travel to job sites is part of the fun, adding variety to your working week. A travel allowance is paid for each night you are required to be away from Alice Springs. Key Responsibilities Assisting qualified tradespersons on project works Operating HR vehicles to transport materials, plant and equipment Operating a forklift for loading, unloading and yard tasks Machine spotting and general site support Organising tools, equipment and materials General labouring, site clean-up and housekeeping Supporting mobilisations and demobilisations of sites and equipment Following safety procedures and reporting hazards or incidents Maintaining equipment and tools in safe, serviceable condition What We Are Looking For Experience in a trade assistant, labouring or construction support role Demonstrated HR driving experience Basic computer literacy for daily job and time record submissions Proactive safety focus and willingness to always adhere to safe work practices Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills Adaptability and flexibility to work in remote, diverse environments Able to pass a pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug screen Essential Qualifications Valid, open HR licence (required) High Risk Forklift Licence (required)White Card (essential) Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment) Why Join Us?
