About The Opportunity Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a multiskilled Labourer to join the Civil team at Gin Gin Depot, capable of performing a wide range of maintenance, repair and construction activities within the Civil Works section. Responsibilities Maintaining a safe working environment. Manual handling and physical labouring for maintenance, repair and construction works. Working with mobile plant. Working with underground utilities. Working at heights and confined spaces. Working on bridges, major culverts and roads. Placing and finishing concrete, simple formwork and steel fixing. Sprayed bituminous, asphalt and asphalt site works. Setout and line marking of road infrastructure. Installation of road and road infrastructure or bridge furniture. Operate and maintain equipment, plant and machinery in accordance with Councils requirements. Daily completion of relevant paperwork. Other reasonable duties and tasks requested by management within your capabilities, including additional duties during staff absences. About You Mandatory: Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence. Construction Industry General Safety Induction Card (White Card). Ability to complete Working at Heights Certificate. Ability to complete Working in Proximity to Traffic course prior to commencement. Demonstrated physical fitness and capability to perform manual labouring work. Demonstrated experience in roads, drainage and bridge construction and maintenance, e.g. placing and finishing concrete, sprayed bituminous and asphalt work, timber carpentry, road furniture installation and line marking. Demonstrated ability to work within a team to ensure outcomes are achieved. Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with internal and external parties. Advantageous (Desired) Current Class MR or HR Drivers Licence. Traffic Controller Accreditation with experience in traffic control and signage setout on public roads.
