The Role As Head of Impact and Advisory, youll play a key role in shaping how Sefa delivers its services and strengthens its position within Australias forpurpose finance ecosystem. Reporting to the CEO, youll manage and support a varied portfolio of feeforservice projects, from investment readiness and due diligence to tailored funding solutions and capabilitybuilding programmes with partners. This position blends strategy and delivery. Youll be handson in bringing Sefas offerings to life while also contributing to business development, market insights, and identifying opportunities aligned with our mission. Whether it is supporting blended finance initiatives, structuring paymentbyoutcomes tenders, or designing practical funding models, your work will directly empower social purpose organisations to grow and thrive. You will also cultivate and maintain a strong network of collaborators from social enterprises to investors, government, and philanthropic partners ensuring Sefas services remain relevant, grounded, and responsive to the sectors evolving needs. Key Roles and Responsibilities Advisory Services Leadership: Lead Sefas advisory offering, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and strategic alignment. Business Development & Partnerships: Drive new engagements, build strategic relationships, and represent Sefa in the market. Research & Thought Leadership: Produce insights and thought leadership to position Sefa as a trusted sector voice. People Leadership & Capability: Provide clear direction, foster collaboration, and build team capability. About You You are a strategic leader with deep expertise in impact investing and/or social finance, and advisory services. You thrive on building partnerships, designing innovative funding solutions, and delivering highquality programmes that create measurable social impact. With strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and a track record in professional services or consulting, you bring intellectual rigor and creativity to complex, multistakeholder initiatives. You are passionate about strengthening Australias forpurpose financial ecosystem and have the ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a highperforming team. Required Skills and Proficiencies Demonstrated passion, energy, and commitment to the impact investing, social finance, and social enterprise sectors. Experience within professional services and/or consulting with direct client engagement experience and demonstrated ability to design, launch and deliver new advisory products. Strong commercial acumen combined with budgeting and P&L management. Experience with tools and frameworks such as theory of change, outcomes measurement and social impact management frameworks. Proven ability to codesign bespoke feeforservice engagements and programmes in collaboration with diverse partners. Strong project management skills, with experience delivering complex, multistakeholder initiatives. Highlevel capability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders effectively. Exceptional relationshipbuilding skills, with patience and resilience to navigate the evolving impact investment sector in Australia. Strong analytical skills, including financial analysis and investment assessments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences of varying technical expertise. Ability to coach and lead team members to develop professional capability in the social finance sector. Helpful Governance experience. Understanding of the challenges facing forpurpose organisations in Australia. Established networks across impact investors, philanthropy, notforprofit organisations, and government within Australia. Qualifications Degree education or equivalent.
