APS 6 $95,475 - $107,708 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation Canberra or Melbourne The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is seeking an experienced and high performing candidate to fill the role of Senior Project Officer and working under the direction of the Assistant Director, you will be responsible for: Supporting the third-party guideline approval program and providing advice and support to stakeholders. Analysing and interpreting scientific or health literature and legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines, and providing appropriate and timely advice and information. Coordinating and conducting consultation activities with stakeholders and the public, with the ability to interpret and action feedback. Drafting high-quality agenda papers, minutes, briefs, ministerial submissions, public correspondence, media responses, reports, research papers. Providing support to NHMRC expert advisory committees. Supporting the development of consumer focussed content for NHMRC websites and web-based guideline development platforms. Actively contributing to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to draft complex briefings and papers to a consistently high standard. The ability to contribute to complex work with tight frames. The ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. This role is initially available as a non-ongoing vacancy until the end of July 2026 with the possibility of an extension or becoming ongoing.
