About the Team Youll join Orros Cyber Security & Risk team the group responsible for securing our enterprise platforms, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards, and enabling secure digital innovation across the organisation. We work closely with IT, Cloud Engineering, Operational teams, Business Units and Executive Leadership to embed security into everything we do. Its a high-trust, high-impact environment that thrives on collaboration, curiosity and continuous learning. What Youll Be DoingLead the design and uplift of Microsoft security technologies; Defender, Sentinel, Entra/Identity, Intune and Purview, driving continuous improvement and best-practice adoption.Shape cloud security by enhancing AWS controls, monitoring and compliance frameworks.Deliver hands-on security projects from risk assessments and architecture reviews to control uplift and automation.Stay ahead of threats through proactive vulnerability management, detection and incident response.Streamline security operations with playbooks, baselines and dashboards that track control effectiveness in real time.Collaborate across Orro working with IT, Cloud, SOC and Risk teams to embed secure-by-default practices in everything we do. What Youll Bring Youre a hands-on security engineer who loves solving complex problems and making things stronger, smarter and safer every day. You bring sharp instincts for risk, architecture and modern security controls but what really sets you apart is how you communicate. Youre someone people enjoy working with: approachable, collaborative and able to turn deep technical detail into clear, meaningful insight that builds trust and drives action across the business. You listen, explain, influence and connect combining technical credibility with genuine empathy. If youre looking for a role where your expertise and people skills have equal impact, this is it. 5 years experience in security engineering across enterprise or MSP environmentsDeep practical experience across Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Sentinel, Entra, Intune, Purview)Working knowledge of AWS security servicesFamiliarity with ISO 27001, Essential 8, PCI DSS and related compliance programsExperience conducting technical risk assessments and developing remediation plansStrong communication and stakeholder-management skills from engineers to executives Bonus Points Experience in hybrid cloud/on-prem environmentsHands-on scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)Understanding of network and firewall security designExposure to privacy, data protection and SOC operations Certifications that will set you apart: Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect ExpertMicrosoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst / Identity & Access / EndpointCISSP, CISM, CCSP (advantage)AWS Security Specialty (advantage) Even if you dont tick every box, dont let that hold you back.
