Job Title: Service Advisor & Customer Engagement Automotive Workshop Location: Bondi Beach, NSW Employment Type: Full-Time About Us Our premium Automotive workshop is located in the heart of Bondi Beach. An independent automotive service centre specialising in high-quality vehicles, friendly customer care and a modern workshop environment. The Opportunity We are looking for a motivated and personable Service Advisor to join our team. This is more than just picking up the phone: you will be the first point of contact for customers, manage outbound calls for job approvals, handle in-bound leads and customer engagement, assist with job-filing/administration, liaise with the workshop team and ensure our customers feel confident and informed throughout their vehicle servicing experience. Key Responsibilities Greet, welcome and engage customers at the reception and workshop area, ensuring a smooth check-in/out experience. Contact customers (outbound calls) to obtain approvals for recommended jobs, explain service outcomes and discuss next steps. Explain recommendations and costs to customers. Manage booking intake and scheduling for service and repair jobs. Maintain accurate job files, work orders and customer records; assist with filing and administration. Provide updates to front office team and customers on vehicle status, liaise between the workshop and customers, and ensure customer satisfaction. Contribute to a positive, professional workshop environment; coordinate with technicians, parts and service teams. Handle general workshop front-office tasks (phone, email, reception, customer follow-up). Handle customer concerns and resolutions. What Were Looking For Excellent customer service skills youre confident on the phone and in-person, can build rapport, and explain technical information clearly. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and good organisation/administration ability. Comfortable with making outbound calls to gain service/repair approvals. Previous experience in a workshop, automotive service environment, or a customer-facing role is highly desirable. Proficiency with computers and standard office software/CRM systems. Reliable, professional presentation and ability to work in a busy workshop environment. A drivers licence and interest or background in automotive servicing is a plus.
