Job Description

Support Act is the music industrys charity, supporting musicians, managers, crew and music workers who are unable to work due to ill health, injury, mental health, or other crisis. We provide this support through the provision of short term financial support, mental health education and training programs and the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline. Support Acts mental health programs and services are now available to all people who work in the creative industries. We are committed to creating a safe and thriving music industry for all including dedicated culturally intelligent support for First Nations music workers. Our organisation is fully remote and we pride ourselves on our inclusive, flexible and purpose driven culture attracting an engaged and diverse team. The Role In this newly created stand alone role the People and Culture Manager will be an active member of the leadership team at Support Act, responsible for the entirety of the HR function and being influential in the success of the organisation. Responsibilities of the role include: Development and implementation of People and Culture strategy Leading employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives Talent acquisition, learning and development and employee relations matters Development and maintenance of HR policies, systems and records To be successful in the role you will have: 5 years demonstrable experience in People and Culture Manager or Business Partner role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrable working knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation A commitment to fostering psychologically and culturally safe work places Ability and willingness to work autonomously in a remote team environment Experience of working in the NFP, community services, arts or mental health sectors desirable If this sounds like you please submit your CV and cover letter to apply.
