Purpose This role is responsible for designing and developing the Jewellery range, in collaboration with the broader Buying and Design team. The Designer - Jewellery ensures that the collection is innovative, commercially viable, and aligned with the brand''s vision and customer expectations. By staying attuned to market trends, materials, and production techniques, this role drives the creation of distinctive, high-quality designs that meet margin targets and enhance the brands overall offering. Key Accountabilities Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the design and development process is aligned with broader business objectives and approved strategies. Collaborate to implement business initiatives effectively through existing operational frameworksBuild strong partnerships with the Merchandise Planning and Buying teams, ensuring the range is balanced across core, seasonal, and seasonal products, and that it meets the companys financial targetsLiaise with suppliers and overseas agents to communicate design concepts and technical specifications, ensuring successful sample developmentPrepare and present detailed design briefs, seasonal ranges, and creative concepts to the General Manager in partnership with the Senior Designer & Head of Design. Articulate key trends, product innovations, and design rationaleOversee the end-to-end design process, ensuring company timetable deadlines are met, from initial concept development to pre production sampling Research and compile seasonal design briefs, , materials, and detailing that reflect current and emerging trends in the market Ensure that the range is commercially viable, appealing to the target customer while balancing creativity with functionality and wearabilityIn conjunction with the Senior Designer & Head of Design, Planning & Buying teams, interact with store teams to present the final range, discussing key looks, trends, and how they align with the overall product assortment. Key Capabilities Relevant tertiary qualification in design Experience in a Design role, demonstrating the ability to develop commercially successful collectionsExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams, to deliver collections on time and within financial targets Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and other design toolsAbility to balance creativity with commercial objectives, ensuring that design concepts align with brand strategy and business goalsStrong understanding of global fashion trends, materials, and innovations in the marketExcellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey design concepts and work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliersStrong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates self-motivation, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement, embodying personal leadership in every aspect of the role.
