The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Territory Sales BDM to join Kidde, a global leader in fire safety. You will champion the profitable growth of our sophisticated fire suppression (clean agent, aerosol, inert) and detection product lines across NSW and Queensland. This high-impact role is critical to securing major projects in Data Centres, Mining, and Infrastructure. Your Core Role and Responsibilities Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new commercial opportunities in target sectors: commercial, industrial, mining, data centres, and infrastructure. Relationship Management: Develop robust relationships with key stakeholders, including fire contractors, consultants, OEMs, and decision-makers. Product Champion: Promote and position Kiddes clean agent systems and intelligent detection products as the preferred, compliant solution. Sales Execution: Lead commercial negotiations, manage large-scale project tendering, and deliver compelling technical proposals and presentations. Technical Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are compliant (AS/NZS standards), technically sound, and meet client requirements. Market Insight & Performance: Monitor industry trends, inform strategy, and consistently meet or exceed challenging annual sales targets and KPIs. Marketing Support: Represent Kidde at relevant trade shows and industry events. Essential Requirements Minimum 5 years of successful experience in business development or technical sales within the fire protection or building services industry. Strong knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems (Kidde or similar products preferred). Familiarity with AS/NZS fire safety codes, building regulations, and compliance. Proven success in developing new business and closing complex, high-value deals. Excellent technical aptitude to understand system design and specifications. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. Desirable Skills/Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
