Facility Supervisor - Campbell Street Housing - Supported Residential Services | Hobart Metropolitan Closing date: 01/12/2025 Are you ready to make a difference in the community? Do you have experience in facility or tenancy management? We are seeking a Facility Supervisor for permanent part-time position (48 hours fortnightly) based at our Campbell Street Youth 2 Independence facility. This role involves being based on site for 24 hour periods (detailed below) which attracts additional compensation on top of a competitive base rate of pay. Week 1: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday What you will be doing in this role: Undertake tenancy management functions; Complete and/or arrange cleaning and maintenance; Work effectively and regularly liaise with tenants to ensure their health and wellbeing is maintained; Provide assistance and preparation of meals; Complete administrative tasks; Provide limited on-call assistance to tenants outside 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday to ensure the smooth running of the property including any emergencies that take place out of hours. You must have: Knowledge of the issues pertaining to people experiencing homelessness; Sound understanding of relevant legislation including the Residential Tenancy Act 1997 and occupational health and safety requirements or willingness to develop; Safe Food Handling certificate or willingness to undertake training; Ability to effectively work within a team environment and knowledge of external services to ensure tenants have appropriate levels of support; Ability to contribute to a professional team environment including team de-briefing, program planning activities and a variety of other team based consultative processes; Good time management skills with the ability to effectively set priorities; High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills; Well-developed computer and written communication skills; Sound knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding privacy and confidentiality. The successful applicant will be required to: provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months); provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16; provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical: provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence. On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
