OverviewSenior Quality Electrical Engineer - Substations for the Central-West Orana project. Location: Merotherie, NSW. The project site is in Merotherie with a 14/7 roster staying in Camp. Buses will be set up for pickup and drop off points in Sydney and other regional NSW centres.We are seeking a dedicated Senior Quality Electrical Engineer to join our Energy Hub (Substations) team, reporting to the EH Quality Manager. In this role, you will ensure the project meets specified quality standards by developing, updating and implementing all necessary quality assurance requirements. You will work closely with Site Quality Engineers to ensure timely review, verification and completion of Quality records, prepare for quality audits, and train employees on AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 requirements.ResponsibilitiesAssist Quality Manager in developing, implementing and monitoring the Project Quality Assurance Plan, including ITPs and ITCs that reflect client requirementsAssist Quality Manager in reviewing Electrical Supplier Quality documents including Quality Assurance Plans, ITP/ITR''s, MDR''s, FAT Test reportsEnsure ITPs & ITCs are reviewed and closed out to a high standard across project by managing systematic monitoring, verifying, and closing of work lotsConduct detailed inspection and testing of products and components at various production stages and oversee compliance of fabrication processes by the subcontractors and manufacturers to meet client specificationsPerform quality audits across projects, fabrication facilities, and supplier facilities, maintaining the project''s quality audit scheduleLiaise with the client''s quality department, third party inspectors and Independent Certifier and provide ongoing reporting on project quality issuesInvestigate quality defects/NCRs, implement corrective actions, and report to management, assisting the Quality Manager with quality reporting in the Monthly ReportProvide ongoing support and training to project teams and production employees, promoting best practices and compliance with company quality policies, guidelines, and proceduresCriteria for SelectionDemonstrated relevant experience in delivery of large-scale complex infrastructure projectsElectrical Engineering Tertiary Qualifications relevant to the roleExperience in managing large quantity of Quality documentationPreferably have Lead Auditor CertificateExperienced within an Electrical construction-based project, including processes for installation, testing and commissioning of substations and switching stationsProven leadership in delivering quality objectivesDemonstrated ability to motivate/manage multi-disciplinary teamsStrong communication and sound negotiation skillsSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeLocationMerotherie, New South Wales, Australia (project site).
