Job Description AFC WOMENS ASIAN CUP 2026 LOC OFFICE The Kick-off Story The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Womens Asian Cup. This marks Australias second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of cohosting the 2023 FIFA Womens World Cup. You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the 2026 edition of the AFC Womens Asian Cup in Australia. This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four. We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates womens football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly. Venue Operations & Matchday Execution Lead the operational delivery of all sports presentation and fan experience elements within the stadium and venue precinct. Act as the primary point of contact for venue-based execution of run-of-show and presentation planning. Manage and brief on-ground teams including announcers, show callers, production crew, entertainment talent, and volunteers. Ensure all fan experience and presentation elements are aligned with central creative direction and meet safety, scheduling, and broadcast requirements. Sports Presentation & Show Production Oversee implementation of the sports presentation plan at venue level, including ceremonies, anthems, MCs, big screen content, lighting, audio, and video production. Coordinate rehearsals, matchday scripts, and technical readiness checks with central team and contractors. Ensure content is delivered with excellence, consistency, and energy tailored to each match and audience. Fan Experience & Precinct Activation Deliver engaging fan zones and precinct activations in collaboration with commercial partners, host cities, and local agencies. Ensure activations are inclusive, family-friendly, culturally appropriate, and operationally sound. Support implementation of merchandise and sponsor activations in the precinct and concourse. Stakeholder & Volunteer Coordination Liaise with stadium operations, security, broadcast, sponsors, and community partners to align delivery plans. Manage, brief, and support volunteers and casual staff assigned to fan experience roles at the venue. Act as an on-ground representative of the central LOC fan experience and sports presentation team. Logistics & Administration Monitor budgets, schedules, and inventories relevant to venue-level delivery. Provide daily reports, debriefs, and matchday summaries back to the central team. Ensure compliance with risk, safety, access, and safeguarding protocols. Deep understanding of live event production, sports presentation, or fan engagement. Strong project management, operational delivery, and stakeholder coordination skills. Ability to manage show rehearsals, run-of-show execution, and on-ground troubleshooting and problem solving. Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills. Comfortable working under pressure and to tight timelines in high-traffic environments.
