The company delivers design support and construction services, including design consultation, civil works inspection, and construction project management for residential and commercial projects. About the role: We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to support our engineering and project delivery team. The role involves preparing detailed civil engineering drawings and documentation for residential and commercial construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and constructability throughout the project lifecycle Key Responsibilities: Prepare and revise detailed civil engineering drawings and plans, including site works, earthworks, drainage and stormwater layouts, concrete slabs, footings, retaining walls, and associated construction details using CAD software. Produce sketches, charts, schedules, and technical documentation to support project design, approvals, and construction activities. Interpret engineering designs, architectural drawings, specifications, and survey data to ensure coordinated and buildable drawings. Collect and analyse project data such as levels, set-out information, and existing services data, and apply basic drafting calculations to update drawings. Assist with material take-offs, quantity calculations, and drawing-based estimates in accordance with project requirements. Maintain drawing registers, manage revisions, issue updated drawings, and support document control processes. Liaise with engineers, consultants, and site teams to respond to drawing-related queries and incorporate required changes. Participate in site inspections as required to verify constructability and capture as-built information for final documentation. Requirements: Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Drafting, or a related field. Minimum one year of relevant experience preparing civil or construction drawings in Australia or a comparable environment. Proficiency in CAD drafting software such as AutoCAD; experience with BIM tools is advantageous. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering and construction teams.
