Hearing Aid Centre Manager - Costco Gold Coast Performs hearing exams, takes ear impression, makes recommendations and orders merchandise. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for members. Processes sales. Oversees NonLicensed Hearing Aid Attendants and other clinical staff. Maintains customer computer files. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards. Provides a high level of member service. Job Duties / Essential Functions Schedules, develops, counsels, and directs department personnel Makes recommendations for hiring, promotion, and termination to warehouse manager Drafts and participates in presentation of employee performance evaluations Reviews and approves area timecards as appropriate Reviews department sales, budget, and productivity figures Develops and implements sales plan. Observes employee performance to ensure proper department procedures and standards are followed Coordinates proper equipment maintenance, repairs, or replacement Approves and submits orders for equipment, product, and supplies Meets with members and conducts routine tests with audiometer Examines ear, referring to a physician when appropriate Makes recommendations for hearing aids Makes ear moulds Sends paperwork and ear moulds to manufacturer Programs and fits hearing aids to members Assists with any adjustments, questions or problems Answers questions and problems regarding prescriptions, merchandise or services and responds to member concerns Oversees NonLicensed Hearing Aid Attendants and other clinical staff Maintains a computerised file for each member Receives accurate payment for merchandise: makes change and processes credit/debit charges according to proper departmental procedures for paperwork and the performance of duties Exercises discretion and confidentiality with all patient information Follows proper Hearing Aid Centre and general safety and security procedures and standards Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary Provides a high level of customer service to members, employees, and suppliers Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery Phone, copier, cash register, private vehicle, handheld scanner, computer, hearing aid vacuum and ultrasonic cleaner, audiometer, bench grinder, dremel, Hearing Aid, Otoscope, rubbish compactor, cardboard baler Qualifications (Costcospecific or industry specific skills that candidates should possess) Education / Training Masters Degree in Audiology or Audiometrist qualifications Licenses / Certifications Qualified Practitioner Audiology Australia, Australian College of Audiology, or Hearing Aid Audiology Society of Australia Experience / Skills Appropriate Audiology or comparable experience Proven written and verbal communication skills Other specific requirements Australian College of Audiology Member Audiology Australia Member Hearing Aid Audiology Society of Australia Member Satisfactory Criminal Record Check * If successful, you will be required to undertake role & department specific training within specified timeframes.
