General Manager - Equipment Hire and Repair Full-Time Coastmac Pty Ltd The General Manager will oversee the establishment and management (both operational and financial) of a new business division focusing on the hire, repair and trading of equipment used in the mining and transport industries. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to expand the companys footprint in the mining and transport industries; Direct budgeting, forecasting and cost control measures to achieve sustainable profitability; Recruit, lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of technical, operational and administrative staff; Establish and oversee procurement and logistics functions, and other startup activities such as the establishment of new workshops; Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and clients; Oversee daytoday operations of an equipment hire, repairs and trading business, ensuring compliance with customer standards and industry safety protocols; and Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, an aptitude for business development and growing a new business, and familiarity with equipment used in the mining and transport industries. Skills and experience required Senior leadership experience in the mining, transport or mechanical engineering sectors; Strong business acumen with experience formulating and managing budgets; Excellent communication, problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities; Demonstrated ability to recruit and manage large teams; and Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
