About the role This position sits within Convatecs Global Quality and Operations function, specifically in the Global Supply Chain team. The role is responsible for managing the demand planning process for designated business units, geographies, and product portfolios across short, medium and longterm horizons. It partners with the commercial organization to align demand with business plans, translates market requirements into actionable demand signals, manages inventory levels, and drives marketlevel S&OP processes. Your key duties and responsibilities Demand Planning and S&OP Process: Develop relationships with Commercial and Marketing to ensure demand requirements are understood. Manage market demand plans across the planning horizon, identifying trends, scenarios, and corrective actions. Own and evolve marketlevel S&OP processes, ensuring performance metrics are met. Maintain the forecasting tool for the defined scope, including all data inputs per update cycles. Primary Supply Chain point of contact for markets in the area of responsibility. Actively develop relationships with market commercial and financial teams to build knowledge over the 18, 24 and 36month horizon. Where tender processes exist, ensure products in bids can be supplied and map key decision points. Own, monitor, and publish performance metrics & reports (e.g., Business Unit dashboard). Inventory Management: Manage inventory strategy defined by the SCH Lead, partnering with Supply Planning to ensure alignment and efficiency. Rightsize and maintain finishedgoods inventory for assigned Business Units/Markets. Review excess inventory and obsolescence, providing reactive & proactive steps to reduce risk. Identify areas for improved service and inventory, aligning SAP parameters accordingly. Life Cycle Management: Actively manage the product portfolio, coordinating new product launches and endoflife activities. Ensure systems are aligned during launch and discontinuation processes. Communicate deviations from launch or discontinuation plans to reduce risk. Other: Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies aligned to GQO priorities and market needs. Lead and/or participate in costsaving and continuous improvement projects. Act as backup for other Business Unit Demand Planners when required. Skills & Experience Proven background in demand planning / S&OP at a market or regional level. Extensive SAP and IBP module experience (transactions and reports). Global experience, preferably in healthcare (medical device or pharma). Expertise in Microsoft Excel. Critical thinking and process orientation. Selfinitiator with strong analytical skills and business acumen. Excellent communication and collaboration; influence without direct authority. Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently on complex issues. Experience working under tight deadlines and prioritising tasks. Strong listening and influencing skills. Qualifications / Education Bachelors degree (preferably in demand planning, supply chain, or operations). Experience in SAP IBP is mandatory; SAP 4HANA experience is highly desirable. APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) highly preferred. Travel Requirements Up to 15% domestic/international travel, including overnight trips. Working Conditions Based in Deeside or London with a hybrid working structure. Special Factors Collaboration with multiple global functions; mindfulness of time zones required.
