As one of Australia''s largest and most diversely skilled engineering and construction contracting business, Geotech has the capabilities to be a single contractor to a broad spectrum of clients, delivering the full scope of works.The OpportunityEnsure the effective coordination and control of Engineering Works for a designated Project through activities of technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control based on ACCIONA standards. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible in assisting the Construction Manager to ensure the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule, within budget and to the specified quality.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the project is delivered to cost & time with resources needed leading to a high level of client satisfactionIdentify and assess risk to the project as well as the implementation of strategies to mitigate riskUse your technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunitiesCost and forecast control to assist the project managers with strategic planningLead, develop and manage large project teams on the groundBuild effective and collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisorsMaintaining quality, environmental, and safety systems across the projectProvides positive leadership to subcontractors monitor and control their performance to ensure the quality and standard of workmanship performed both on and off site is in accordance with the specifications and relevant proceduresManages construction budgets to allow accurately profit / loss forecasting and monitors the financial performance for certain aspects of the projectRequired Skills and CompetenciesTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar8+ years'' experience in a project/delivery-based roleExperience leading high performing teamsDemonstrated strong forecasting and budgeting experienceCompetent in planning and organising work schedulesACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company''s commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
