We''re proud to be part of a global network while maintaining a strong local identity, where every team member is empowered to grow, contribute and make a difference.Job DescriptionReporting to the Director of Engineering, our Assistant Chief Engineer leads our hotel maintenance team (Duty Technicians, Electricians, Painters, Handy Persons) in maintaining our buildings, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings across the hotel precinct at Sydney Olympic Park.You will lead a dedicated team of technicians who perform a range of activities such as basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and general repairs. Duties can include:Manage preventative and reactive maintenanceMotivate, train and develop your team of engineering professionalsLiaise with the leadership team to support them with maintaining the hotel assetsEnsure the safe, efficient and compliant operation of our hotelsTackle the occasional afterhours maintenance emergencyQualificationsMinimum 2 years of relevant experience supervising or managing a maintenance function within a large hotel or similarStrong knowledge and understanding of EPA, PPE standards and WHS rules and regulationsBe confident in emergency procedures and testing of fire alarmsAbility to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, kneeling, pushing, pulling, ascending or descending ladders and stairsFlexibility to work weekends, public holidays and event daysGood interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of team membersAbility to work independently and demonstrate initiative in a dynamic environmentHave full working rights in AustraliaAdditional InformationWhy Join Us?Be part of a collaborative, multibrand precinct team in a dynamic locationAccess extensive career development opportunities within Accor HotelsEnjoy exclusive staff benefits, discounts and wellbeing programmesPlay a pivotal role in shaping guest experiences and loyalty in one of Sydney''s most exciting hospitality precincts#J-18808-Ljbffr
