We''re not just the largest charter brokerage in the world, but also the largest charter family, holding those same values that started this business at the core of everything we do.Job DescriptionTake ownership of drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, NDAs, terms and conditions and aviation related agreements with clients, suppliers and airlines across multiple jurisdictionsProvide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice on international commercial, operational and regulatory mattersManage and respond to queries via the shared Legal mailbox, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent support to global stakeholdersAct as a trusted adviser to senior management, clearly explaining risks and helping the business reach solutionsSupport global governance and company secretarial matters, including routine filings and maintenance of corporate recordsAssist with cross-border data privacy matters, including reviewing data processing agreements and supporting internal privacy complianceSupport and coordinate the management of disputes and litigation, including preparing concise reports for senior leadershipCollaborate closely with Bids, Compliance, Sales and other non-sales teams to facilitate international commercial activityContribute to the development of legal processes, guidance, templates and playbooks to improve consistency and efficiency across the departmentHandle a diverse range of global matters independently while escalating material risks appropriatelyQualificationsQualified lawyer in Australia or another recognised foreign jurisdictionFluency in Mandarin is mandatoryMinimum of 3 years'' commercial legal experience, with prior in house experience strongly preferredExperience handling international commercial contracts and a broad range of legal mattersExperience in any of the following areas is advantageous: commercial law, corporate governance, company secretarial work, data privacy, or litigation supportAbility to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and provide practical, commercially aligned adviceStrong judgement, integrity and the confidence to operate with a high degree of independenceStrong contract drafting and negotiation experience, ideally including cross-border commercial agreementsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to draft and advise confidently in both languagesAbility to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, sales staff, administrative teams and senior management across global officesStrong attention to detail, organisation skills and the ability to deliver high quality first draftsComfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities and supporting teams across time zonesA practical and solutions driven mindset, with the ability to translate legal analysis into clear business guidancePrevious exposure to the bids process and experience using contract management or legal tech systems is beneficialAviation industry experience is an advantageAdditional Information22 days holiday per year which increases with length of servicePrivate healthcare and pensionA friendly fun and very exciting environment enhanced with regular companyfunded social events and seasonal parties#J-18808-Ljbffr
