With backing from our investors, including Blackstone, this is just the beginning...Come join the A-Team at AirTrunk, where the cloud meets the ground.A SnapshotAs Associate Commercial Director, Developments, you will report to the Senior Director, Commercial Developments and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:Partner with senior management to establish the strategic commercial plan and objectives for the region and effectively cascade the strategy and policiesAs the strategic commercial business partner, you will provide leadership, guidance, and advice to support the delivery teams across the entire lifecycle of our data centre developments, ensuring effective commercial guardrails and strong governanceYou will resolve complex commercial issues across the region, ensuring a high level of governance and risk managementYou will negotiate contracts at the highest levels of the business, both domestically and internationally, including the development and management of all contractual strategy and documentationBuild and develop a high performing team of commercial professionals across the regionYour Day to DayImplement and maintain performance metrics across all in flight projectsCascade improved commercial strategies, business policies and initiatives to ensure strong commercial governanceProvide risk and governance oversight across the Singapore, Malaysia & Japan regions through commercial and project leadership, providing trusted commercial advice to the Development and Project DirectorsDevelop complex business cases and analysis on procurement/ new market entry / claims resolution to senior managementLead the commercial teams across the region as the first point of escalation for all day-to-day matters for in-flight projectsResolve complex contract interpretation issues and disputes in a creative manner, balancing both parties'' objectives and the long-term implications of changes or solutionsDrive project cost outcomes and lead commercial lessons learned, innovations, initiatives and continuous improvements aimed at increasing time and costs efficiencies of the delivery of our data centresReview tender packages including developing scope of works, bid templates, tender evaluations, reviews, and recommendationsConcurrently oversee multiple projects including new data centre buildings and capital improvement projects associated with existing data centresTravel to data centre sites both domestic and internationally for commercial reviews, resolution of issues and disputes, project initiation/close out, and the like as required.RequirementsRequired:A relevant degree such as Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering (or similar) with a minimum of 15 years work experience in the construction industryStrong understanding of commercial and contract management with a sound understanding of contract lawExceptional communication, negotiation, contract drafting and presentation skillsDemonstrated success in directing and influencing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver high quality outcomesDemonstrable leadership and problemsolving skillsSound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to online collaboration toolsExcellent communication skills in English and have an attention to detail and be able to maintain high quality standardsPreferred:10 years'' experience in a commercial leadership roleDemonstrated experience in building and managing a high performing teamExperience and/or understanding of fast track design/build projectsHas international experience (ideally APAC and Japan) with significant exposure to Contracts +SGD$500mNote: This role may require relocation to Asia (subject to local Visa approval).The AirTrunk CultureWorking at AirTrunk is a once in a lifetime opportunity to fasttrack your career and amplify your impact.
