Technical Senior Structural Engineer Solar & BESSExciting opportunity for a technically strong Structural Engineer to step into a lead role across major solar, BESS and HV substation projects.Our client is an emerging leader in the renewable energy sector, delivering utilityscale solar, battery energy storage (BESS) and HV substation projects across Australia. As their portfolio grows, they are now seeking an experienced Technical Senior Structural Engineer to provide support project delivery and help shape best practice design standards across the business.You''ll bring deep structural engineering expertise and proven project leadership experience, working across both renewable energy and HV power plant infrastructure. This role will see you involved from early concept, through detailed design and into construction support, ensuring structural integrity, compliance and constructability on complex, largescale projects.Working closely with civil, electrical and geotechnical teams, you''ll help drive integrated solutions that are technically robust, commercially viable and aligned with Australian standards and industry best practice.Key ResponsibilitiesLead structural design for renewable energy and HV substation projects (foundations, steel/concrete structures and balance-of-plant).Prepare and review calculations, specs, drawings and construction documents to Australian Standards.Carry out structural analysis for wind, seismic and other load conditions.Provide technical leadership, mentoring and oversight to the engineering team.Undertake site inspections and reviews to ensure quality, safety and design compliance.Work closely with civil, electrical and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated solutions.Support construction teams with timely structural advice and problem solving.Liaise with authorities, independent engineers and reviewers to secure approvals.Lead value engineering and constructability reviews to optimise cost and compliance.Drive and contribute to design reviews, risk identification and corrective actions.Develop design solutions and deliverables across bids and live projects to meet deadlines.Assist Design Managers with the delivery of all required design outputs.What Will You Bring to This Role?Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering, with postgraduate qualifications viewed favourably.Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or actively progressing towards chartered status.10+ years'' structural engineering experience.Track record delivering structural designs for solar PV (fixedtilt and/or tracking systems), battery storage facilities and/or substation infrastructure.Highly competent user of structural analysis/design software and AutoCAD.Solid understanding of relevant structural design codes and standards, including those specific to renewable energy projects.Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.Demonstrated capability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.This is a permanent fulltime position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click "Apply" to submit your resume or contact Jacob MontagueDay via email on [email protected] levelMidSenior levelEmployment typeFulltimeJob functionEngineering and DesignIndustriesServices for Renewable Energy and Engineering ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Amida Group by 2x#J-18808-Ljbffr
